If there is anything that I can say about this record it’s
that it is dark and claustrophobic. Some of the songs came out pretty easy,
others were an enduring struggle just to finish. Overall, I am very pleased
with this release. I think it turned out much better than the last one.
Like Industrial Noir this album was mostly composed of
samples. The difference is that I wanted to have more percussion elements this
time around, yet there are still some tracks that don’t have any percussion
whatsoever. It makes for a nice balance. A lot of the samples were collected
from field recordings and random recordings that I made around town.
After this album I really just want to do a series of
shorter releases. I would like to explore and try out different types of
concepts and ideas. While I enjoy making this kind of music tremendously, I
feel that it is getting a bit stale. It may be time to switch things up and incorporate
different elements into my palette of sonic colors.
