Songs For Prisoners Reuploaded

This is another version of Songs For Prisoners mastered by Skink from the Avalanchers forum. This version is much better than my mastered version, so I reuploaded the entire album.

Check it out:

Another thing, hopefully the album is still on track to be released in physical form by someone. I will keep you updated on how that goes.

And if anyone is interested in reviewing the new album, drop me a message at worldofmetalandrust@gmail.com and I will gladly send you a copy to review.

Songs for Prisoners

If there is anything that I can say about this record it’s that it is dark and claustrophobic. Some of the songs came out pretty easy, others were an enduring struggle just to finish. Overall, I am very pleased with this release. I think it turned out much better than the last one.

Like Industrial Noir this album was mostly composed of samples. The difference is that I wanted to have more percussion elements this time around, yet there are still some tracks that don’t have any percussion whatsoever. It makes for a nice balance. A lot of the samples were collected from field recordings and random recordings that I made around town.

After this album I really just want to do a series of shorter releases. I would like to explore and try out different types of concepts and ideas. While I enjoy making this kind of music tremendously, I feel that it is getting a bit stale. It may be time to switch things up and incorporate different elements into my palette of sonic colors.

In any case, here is some more info on the new album below:

And also, hopefully this album will be out in physical form again on Depressive Illusions Records in about a month or so. They did a good job with Industrial Noir and I will be pleased to collaborate with them again.
